Scott Adams

Scott Adams was born in Windham, NY in 1957. He holds a BA in economics from Hartwick College, and an MBA from UC Berkeley. He worked for eight years at Crocker National Bank as a bank teller, and eight years at Pacific Bell.

Scott launched Dilbert in 1989, while he was working as an engineer at Pacific Bell. He continued to work at Pacific Bell until 1995, and has since been working on Dilbert (and his other projects) full time.

He’s written four best-selling books, The Dilbert Principle, Dogbert’s Top Secret Management Handbook, The Dilbert Future, and The Joy of Work.

He is also the CEO of Scott Adams Foods. They market a vegetarian burrito called the Dilberito, which comes in four different flavors. You can get a Dilberto at a variety of stores, on many college campuses, and at many different grocery stores.

Scott was also the co-producer of the Dilbert TV series, which ran on UPN, and can sometimes be seen on the Comedy Central cable channel.
